we should not be letting any company get away with blaming AI for their failures. I'm not even sure how we got to this point. people are like "it's just a tool" okay so is a forklift and we still hold somebody responsible when it goes wrong and hurts someone. this is YOUR AI!

It’s perfect right, because something can be postponed indefinitely, or postponed long enough for other protective stuff to change - or for some of us, suicidality can just keep coming back or going on in the absence of the world getting easier to live in. It makes so much more sense.
