I really wish people would stop using slop to just mean 'thing I don't like' or 'stuff that is part of a trend'.
Neither of those are inherently worthy of being called slop. You really gotta earn that title by being low-quality, low effort products of greed and laziness.

u know, i think the problem with xiv rn is the devs trying to listen to & please everyone. I don't think it's wrong if you didn't enjoy a thing but if they try to make everyone happy no one will be happy. some of us need to go "this just isn't for me" and move on instead of complain about it.....
At the risk of sounding mean, I think if you want FFXIV quests to be just go from A to B with zero engagement you should stop playing the game
