All of this is true, and in addition, when we stop using AI art, it stops using water and electricity, but if we stop using human artists, the human still exists and has needs that must be met.

A human artist only takes up as much electricity and water as any single human.

This is why, even if we settle copyrights and such, AI will always be immoral. Just pay a human.

Myth is the Minotaur

an illustration inspired by House of Leaves by Mark Z. Danielewski. it depicts the minotaur at the center of the labyrinth, surrounded by bones and blood. he's sitting on his haunches, his legs are that of a bull from the knees down. there are various quotes from the book scattered around him, such as: "this is not for you." "Navidson is not Minos. He did not build the labyrinth. He only discovered it. The father of that place - be it a Minos, Daedalus, St. Mark's -god, another father who swore "Begone!
