The Russian tanker Yelnya and the corvette Stoiky transited west through the English Channel on 13 November, bypassing the Mediterranean. This strongly suggests they are heading toward Guinea, in line with the recent Russia–Guinea agreement granting Moscow privileged access to the Gulf of Guinea.
