Used to drive by this place all the time when I lived in New York! I wish this had been turned into a museum or public park or something… it’s got that Hudson Valley woodsy charm I miss

My October reads! Didn’t stick to pure horror like I thought I would, but I enjoyed all of them. Aside from Circe which was incredible as a given, Hekla’s Children surprised me the most, and Queen Demon and the Curse Bearer series were such cosy comfort reads.

I’m a new Darcy Coates convert. Gallows Hill and From Below absolutely sold me on her as a horror writer! (I also read Hunted which I didn’t really vibe with as much, but I’m still so excited about the rest of her catalogue!)
