A Black man was killed by ICE (off duty) in Los Angeles on New Year’s Eve. And like Renée Good, he was an American citizen. But most people have not heard about Keith Porter.

I need y’all to realize this. Black people experience this lack of visibility all the time when it comes to being victims.

This is the kind of America that I want to live in.
“Can’t believe NYC elected a Muslim as mayor.”

In truth—a Black American Christian woman swearing in a Ugandan American Muslim of South Asian ethnicity as his Syrian American wife holds the Qurans he swears in on, all while standing on the steps of a subway station—is the most NYC thing imaginable.

163 years ago in Mankato, 38 Dakota men were hung in the largest mass execution in our nation’s history.

I’m grateful to the riders who continue to remind us the importance of fighting for accountability and healing for the Dakota people.

Amazon just announced 14,000 layoffs. Its CEO made over $40M last year.

UPS announced 48,000 layoffs. Its CEO made over $24M last year.

Intel announced 20,000 layoffs. Its new CEO's pay package is valued at nearly $69M.

This is what I mean when I say the system is rigged.

There was a man who insisted that scorpions be allowed to fill the public streets. He was convinced that, while they were dangerous, they were a necessary danger. Meanwhile there were people saying that they didn't want scorpions everywhere and that scorpions were dangerous & not needed anymore.

I've been reading Doom Patrol since the 90's. Since HBO's live action adaptation, Cliff Steele--aka Robotman--definitely sounds like Brendan Fraser and always has. That's just the way it is.

Fantastic!
Beloit, WI revitalized its waterfront and chose this way to celebrate it: by bringing to life Georges Seurat's "A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte."

Resistance can take many forms. Maybe it's forgetting a name or address. Maybe it's giving wrong information. Maybe it's mis-filing (or even losing) a document. Maybe it's forgetting to return a phone call or going to a meeting.

If you have to repeatedly break the law to arrest those you claim have broken the law, you’re not enforcing the law.

ICE has morphed into a terrorizing Gestapo-like goon squad.

They must be held accountable.
