The @rideact.bsky.social E bus is late and over-crowded (standing room only) every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at rush hour. When are transit agencies going to adapt to the traffic patterns caused by hybrid work and have more busses on those days (as opposed to just weekday/weekend)?

On Friday and Saturday, the Twin Cities were the center of global news. A day of solidarity. A horrific murder of a good man by masked federal agents. A city that rallied with peaceful fury. And then, as of Monday, a scapegoat sent packing. A neat story all wrapped up. Reporters all fly home.

America has a housing shortage. Every single housing proposal you see that is not "build more housing" will have the primary effect of pushing up the prices of existing housing, and is therefore, in reality, a plan to enrich current homeowners. In conclusion, build more housing.

my two primary issues with LLMs are:
1. they are currently one of the most aggressively deployed anti-labor tools, up there with "misclassifying employees as contractors" that uber and co do.
2. using LLMs appears to give craftspeople a kind of brainrot similar to what lootboxes do in games

So this is a tack that phishing scams are taking now.

This is an actual email that my husband received from a scammer posing as the email management company his employer uses. The opt-out link went to the company's name dot net; its legitimate website is dot com.

Fuck you people. Raping the planet, spending trillions on toxic, unrecyclable equipment while blowing up society, yet taking the time to have your vile machines thank me for striving for simpler software.

Just fuck you. Fuck you all.

I can't remember the last time I was this angry.

I've noticed the opposing team's fans only cheer when the opponents score on us. To win those fans over, I recommend we score on ourselves repeatedly; that will surely make them so happy they'll start supporting us. And I'm sure all our fans will keep cheering for us—who else is there to cheer for?

A thing I think it’s important for USians not in currently-occupied cities to grasp is that the normal and everyday goes on alongside the violent and unprecedented.

In Chicago right now you can be forced off teargas-soaked streets in the morning and have a peaceful evening picnic on the lake.
