Still makin' games.
Great work. Always loved fun, detailed designs like this. Waiting for the day when it comes back into fashion.

How cool would it be if that was how the docs were officially presented?

A game you walk around and learn through dialogue. "Talk to me to learn about the scene system!"

Go for it!

Ambient occlusion can be a nice quick win. Here's my game before and after AO:

4. Buying ads

I've been experimenting with this lately and will post the results soon.

These are incredible! Lovely palette too. I particularly like the twisty bramble walls.

Love the desert in particular. Your style has that combo of distance and mystery that I like.

3. Woovit / Keymailer

I experimented with these services for a month each and neither had any discernible effect on sales. No big channels did any videos; a few people took the free key and stuffed 5 seconds of gameplay into a big "indie dump" video.

YMMV but it was a total bust for me.

2. Getting randomly played by a YouTuber

I was lucky enough to have my game played by Korean YouTuber 우주하마, and the video got 1M views.

It's hard to judge effect on sales, because the video came out soon after launch. But it did give a good short-term boost.

1. Steam sales

If you haven't participated in a Steam sale, try it! There are themed sales that your game has to fit in with, but also unthemed seasonal sales like the Winter Sale where anything goes.

YMMV, but I've found this to be a good way to get a revenue boost for a couple of weeks.

I did a 25% discount on Hapland Trilogy for the 2023 autumn sale and revenue did this (rightmost spike):

Haha, oh no!

I'll leave it up... kinda funny.

Nice! I really like it when graphics are minimal enough to spark your imagination, but still have some character to them. I'm sure it works especially well with DND.

That black and white one looks super cool.
