The BBC should launch a "Stuff Trump" crowdfunder, with an assurance that all funds raised will be used solely to fight Trump's lawsuit. They'd raise millions.
Presumably the calculation will be different for the BBC. If there’s a widespread public view that the BBC shouldn’t submit to bullying, then resisting, even if more public money gets spent, may be preferable.

Matt Goodwin is, in some sense, a worse person than Nigel Farage. Nigel, from his schooldays, has been so marinated in racism he can't imagine thinking differently. Matt wasn't a racist until a few years ago, then he decided to become one.
