So there was just a very loud and sustained "Fuck ICE" chant during a pro wrestling show on live primetime television, if you wanna get a sense of the vibe shift.

(One of the wrestlers, Brody King, is an outspoken prigressive and wore an "Abolish ICE" shirt at a Mexico show in June.)

Neither abolishing ICE nor dismantling DHS are things the minority party can do, but this list strikes me more as a public relations move by @schumer.senate.gov and @hakeem-jeffries.bsky.social aimed at quieting Democratic voters than as a starting point for negotiations seeking serious change.

Thoughts:

• Much of this is already mandated by law and DHS policy and is being ignored.
• No additional enforcement mechanisms or consequences for its lack are included.
• Ending the MN surge and removing Kristi Noem are noted as things Trump can do, not demands.
• Stephen Miller is not mentioned.

You’ll never guess but the solution to people not having money is to give them money.
"By the end of the two-year period, 94% of participants reported they were housed."

A million pilot programs show the same thing: when people are given enough money to afford housing, homelessness ends.

Other supports matter, but housing comes first. Not policing. Not moralizing. Homes.
