I completely agree. The setting through the bars of the detention center highlights how he is no longer just a prosecutor but, like the defendants before him, is placed in an incredibly unjust position. This makes it both heartbreaking and compels a desire to protect him.

I'm biased, of course, but the scene where Ryuunosuke finally convinces Barok to enlist his services for the defense is perhaps one of the best dialogue sequences in the game. I just felt so much emotion while reading through it even though I've already done so many times before.
