I've given up teh fight against typos. Deal w/ it.

Multiply disabled GenX Cdn.

Not as interesting as I used to be, but I can still keep myself entertained.

Equality; UBI; gardens, seed saving; books; houseplants; art; music; writing; cooking.

That sounds delicious!

I wouldn't dream of peddling such lies! Of course, it's a white supremacist nation.

I have several books lined up already to finish out the year. (I'm 7 shy of 100). I will be reading yours early in the new year. I'll definitely get back to you about it. I think when I connected with you before, I hadn't finished the first one yet. Now that I have, I know I'll be reading the next!

That was insane when that happened. I don't understand how Americans go through this regularly and do not demand action until action is taken. The US is at something like 380+ mass shootings so far *this year* - and the year isn't over.

They have the opportunity right now to "use their guns against tyranny," but, as always, students are a much easier target.

Happy birthday!

Every time I try to cull my TBR, I somehow end up with more books instead of fewer!

I just put it on my TBR!

The descriptions of both show the story jumping through time over centuries and places. If you like that in a story, you might enjoy one of my favourites of 2025, Bury Our Bones In the Midnight Soil. It's not my usual type of book, it's about vampires, but I read it anyway. 4.5 stars! I loved it.

Oh, I'm glad to read that Nightingale was good. It's on my TBR list. Wayward looks like it might be something I'd like, so now that's on my TBR, too. Thanks!

I've had some years that getting through one was a success. 4 is not bad at all!

12 books is great! One per month-ish is a completely respectable number. I have had years where 1 book or 5 in a year was good for me, and other years I did that every week. The fact that you are reading anything is good! Do you have any favourites you'd recommend from them?

ISIS just killed two American soldiers and one American civilian interpreter in Syria, so if not Venezuela, perhaps Syria.

I can't imagine ever feeling safe there or wanting to spend my money there. I am completely put off, and I don't see any possible outcome in my lifetime that will change my views on visiting the US again. I am sad I'll never spend a Christmas in NY. Not sad enough to consider changing my mind. 2/2

I'd love to visit New York again, I'd love to visit the PNW again, but I can do without. I can't imagine I'll ever go back at this point. It's not just the government that is a problem. Many people put Rep. into power, and a lot of those who didn't aren't doing much to resolve this situation. 1/2

And a child rapist. A fraud. Probably a murderer and/ or war criminal. Delusional. Racist. Not very intelligent. And people say he smells like poop.

Sadly, I'm not surprised. As an old person who remembers better days, the fall is noticeable in many, many ways.

Trump is also a murderous aggressor.

No. He is already murdering Venezuelans and aiming for regime change to get their oil and has said he wants our natural resources. Do you think he wasn't serious about this whole 51st state thing? He is serious.
