Frey and MPD leaders are complicit in hiding MPD’s actions from their loved ones and the public. I remain committed to standing with the public and the family and loved ones of Allison Lussier and Davis Moturi in getting answers and justice.

It is inexcusable that despite being aware of the lack of compliance by officers in responding to the auditor’s request for information, MPD did nothing for weeks. The Frey administration is now responding to media pressure.

Like so many Black folks, Jamar’s murder sparked a fire in my soul. I felt a calling to do more–starting a journey that eventually led me to run for office.

Join me in honoring Jamar’s memory today and reflect on what calls you to step up and organize.

Family members of people murdered by MPD have been front and center in keeping the issue of police accountability on the table in Minneapolis.

Mark Ringgenberg remains at MPD today. He never faced any discipline for the shooting. Our city deserves better.

This caucus will represent the city-wide movement we’ve built together over the past several years, ensuring that residents who believe in justice, equity, and collective care see their values reflected in City Hall.

That’s why I’m excited to announce that I’ll be bringing forward a proposal to formally establish a Democratic Socialist Caucus within the City Council — and I will be running to lead it.

2/ The tl;dr is, it’s good to have a hot Council race AND a good organizer Council Member. The 3 biggest surges were in @robin4mpls.bsky.social’s 2nd Ward: precincts 1/2/4 (Marcy/East Bank/Dinkytown) up 25%+. 2021 was a COVID year … but 300+ added votes went strongly to Robin. (Map below for ref.)

The corporate landlords in Minneapolis came for @robin4mpls.bsky.social because she puts PEOPLE before PROFIT.

LP is so happy that another one of our housing champions has been reelected to continue the fight for housing justice.
