Had the pleasure of having a long conversation with Alden Ehrenreich for a brand new profile at Collider. We chatted about the horror smash Weapons (my favorite movie of 2025 so far), Solo, Hail Caesar!, Cocaine Bear, his L.A. playhouse, & all kinds of other fun things. collider.com/alden-ehrenr...

Emma Stone and Jesse Plemons are off their asses in Bugonia. It’s fun watching two of our best actors get to square off like this.

I will not rest until Daniel Craig has played Benoit Blanc more times than he's played James Bond.
A ★★★★½ review of Wake Up Dead Man (2025)
Glass Onion is fine and all, but this is the Knives Out sequel we've deserved all along. Rian Johnson's third Benoit Blanc mystery is a twisy good time, anchored by a pair of relentlessly crowd-pleasi...

Wake Up Dead Man is fantastic, and I am now firmly onboard the “Josh O’Connor needs to be in everything” train. Glass Onion was fine, but this is the Knives Out sequel you’ve been waiting for.

I profiled the phenomenal Rosamund Pike about playing the #NowYouSeeMe franchise's newest villain, why she's still grieving the end of #TheWheelOfTime, and the roles she's gravitating towards next — although she'll always be interested in more provocative characters:
From Bond Girl to Diamond Queen, Rosamund Pike Still Wants To Provoke You
Rosamund Pike discusses her journey from Bond girl to versatile leading lady, her return to the stage, and saying goodbye to The Wheel of Time.

Wasn't able to get fully onboard with Edgar Wright's The Running Man, a movie that feels edited into oblivion.
A ★★½ review of The Running Man (2025)

THIS.
I have no objections to a second season of "Alien: Earth," which I generally enjoyed, but I am disappointed that the release announcing Hawley's new overall deal with FX makes no mention of Season 6 of "Fargo," which I would prefer to… anything else on Noah Hawley's development plate.
FX has picked up “Alien: Earth” for a second season, and Noah Hawley has a (fat) new overall deal with FX and other parts of the Disney TV empire as well.

Was able to resume watching, but then it crashed again 10 minutes later. Apple folks are probably both panicked AND delighted right now.

Folks, Vince Gilligan’s done it again with #Pluribus. An absolute sci-fi masterpiece featuring a tremendous lead performance from Rhea Seehorn. It may sound counterintuitive in a review, but go into this one knowing as little as possible:
'Pluribus' Review: 23 Years Later, 'Breaking Bad's Creator Returns to Sci-Fi With an Absolute Masterpiece on Apple TV
23 years after his time on The X-Files, Vince Gilligan returns to sci-fi for Pluribus, a stunning new Apple TV series starring Rhea Seehorn.

Okay, apparently Google has lied to me, and The Running Man actually opens Nov. 14, a week after Predator. That spaces them out a little bit, at least.
Why are Predator: Badlands and The Running Man opening on the same day? The Venn diagram of people interested in these movies is practically a single circle.

I wish Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere was more of a process movie. Its most interesting parts are when it’s showing how Bruce wrote and recorded Nebraska, how hard it was to transfer it to a master, etc. But those things keep getting pushed to the side for traditional biopic stuff.

Just watched Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday for the second and last time in my life. BY FAR the worst movie to spring from any of the major slasher series.
