The "postliberalism" of Pat Buchanan, JD Vance and Victor Orban is strikingly similar to the national socialism of Adolf Hitler. And that is not by happenstance.

The WH press corp should simply fail to show up for say, a week. Trump would blow his stack without his personal propaganda machine players at his beck and call. During the same time, make sure that no news outlet covers him in any way.

It may be repeating the obvious, but Mary Bruce is a first-rate reporter. In the face of a presidential tirade aimed at silencing her, she calmly and professionally demonstrated why a free and independent media remains essential, asking questions that people in power don't want to answer

Trump suggests Khashoggi had it coming: "You're mentioning someone that was extremely controversial. A lot of people didn't like that gentleman that you're talking about. Whether you like him or didn't like him, things happen. But he knew nothing about it. You don't have to embarrass our guest."

I was surprised i hadn't seen anyone isolate this yet, I think the actual disgusting thing here is that none of the other journalists there stick up for her or ask her question again or anything else. They act like it didn't even happen.
When asked if there was anything "incriminating" in Epstein's emails, Trump pointed a finger in a female reporter's face and snapped. 'Quiet. Quiet, Piggy.'

As if anyone would want to remember who the fuck she was...
I am reminded of how Olivia Nuzzi's evidence for Biden's senility was that he didn't remember who she was. The kind of narcissism that gets you promoted to the upper ranks of U.S. political journalism.
The prose is incoherent & the only way to make it through a paragraph is to rely on the North Star or her self-pitying narcissism. The gist of this graf is “strangers obsess about me, must be because I work so hard,” but it is almost immediate lost in the morass of “typed on notes app while hiking”

Politicos favorite hobby is trying to gin up ratfucking schemes targeting Democrats
Politico is stirring up trouble, raising the possibility - seemingly out of the blue - that Trump could withhold a security clearance for Zohran Mamdani, denying him information on threats to the city that was quite recently the target of the worst terrorist attack in US history.
An early test of a Mamdani-Trump relationship? Security clearance.
The president has revoked security clearances as a way to punish political enemies.
