The dismantling of Science in #Australia continues...

I remember that hopes were high in 2022 that the new Labor Government would end the decade-long decline. We are now in the second #Albanese term, and things are worse than ever.

Small white flowers 2 am across in clusters with dense green and yellow tinged leaves (double size of box leaves) A spray of white hydrangea flowers ~20 cm long - a looser and longer inflorescence that normal hydrangeas, large oak shaped leaves against a stone wall and concrete path fringed with brachycomb seas side daisies

Covid Bingo - Kids don’t really get it much - and if they do they don’t get LongCovid - I’m so cross the supermarket doesn’t provide sanitiser anymore - Covid spoken of in past tense - It’s only really old people that die - I don’t want old people to die of Covid but it’s not worth it [protecting them]; It was terrible when you couldn’t visit dying relatives; The risk of getting it from them wasn’t worth the isolation - In all the time of lockdowns I didn’t know anyone who got it [derr! That was the point] - There isn’t much Covid around anymore - I don’t know anyone who got Long Covid [she does, coz I know them too] - It wasn’t worth it - It’s not worth it

Middle-of-the-road? But just because we have followed the SSP2-45, SSP4-60 path for 10 years, does not mean we follow it for the next 70 years.

Policy & technology have pushed the world away from the high-end, but 2.7C in 2100 & rising is not a good outcome!
