Just noticed there’s a house around the corner from me that have their Christmas tree up and a Santa in their window. All lit up. Looks very nice if a little early.

I’m glad this publication about Terry Nation includes mention of him writing this classic

Just out of curiosity, do you think they have used AI on this record cover?

Comics I’ve finished reading so far this year. I didn’t buy them all this year I should add. I think the oldest one I have there might date back to 2007.
The comic I most relished reading was A Very British Affair, Rebellion’s collection of old romance comics.
As I’ve said before, I loved The Bus.

Post you from a different era

My uncle was manager of a nightclub and would be sent promotional items from breweries etc, some of these would be given to members of the family. I was probably the only 12 year old walking around wearing a Smirnoff vodka t-shirt

When/where did you first see original comic book artwork?
For me it was 40 years ago. I was a little disappointed with it, because I didn’t recognise most of the artwork. The poster suggested I would see Gibbons Dr Who, Davis Cap Britain & a Bolland Dredd, but none of those were in there

Would love to see Carl Critchlow’s painted artwork that he completed for this ‘lost’ Marvel UK comic, Knuckledown. There’s a glimpse of some of it on this DownTheTubes piece on the cancelled Marvel UK comic line

This is out on Monday, but yes the comic does reprint the John Bolton drawn stories as can be seen from the mock up showing the edge of this panel

Somehow, industry legend BRIAN BOLLAND asked to do finishes over one of my loose Absolute Joker designs for his ABSOLUTE BATMAN #15 cover… as somehow who grew up adoring his Dredd and Batman work I never thought I’d see the day🔥

Following Gorillaz and the Idles singers’ appearance on Radio 2 last night, here’s a Gorillaz magazine cover I haven’t posted before mainly because I forgot I had it. Published 20 years ago to promote Demon Days.

The Specials/Blondie connection did lead to one unlikely outcome in the shape of some early UK rap, as mentioned in my piece about Too Much Too Young for @thequietus.com earlier this year thequietus.com/opinion-and-...

Well, you know you’ve made it in comics when you get featured in @brokenfrontier.bsky.social

Had a lovely chat with @andywpoliver.bsky.social about growing up as a comic reader (and creator) in Egypt, the Egyptian comics scene, my journey into making comics, and much more!

This story is starting to common place. There is a ‘mega barn’ on the outskirts of Ipswich that made the news earlier in the year. But what are they used for? There’s some smaller ones I also see on the way to work and when I’m on top of a double decker bus I get a clear view of nothing going on
Residents are fuming after a massive warehouse dubbed a "mega shed" was built in a village without their consultation - using a controversial rule from 1957.

I think there is something Sky missed here. If I watch a cute cat clip someone has shared on X, when that ends it moves onto another seemingly random clip, rarely of cute cats. Most of the time the next clip is something posted by a far right account.

Me & my comics pal @fraserc69.bsky.social were adding our unused TFTQ page to this but the con artist AKA Frazer Brown has put that on hold for now.

Instead Fraser (good one) & I are creating a brand, spankin’ 1 pager for A1 DEADLINE so please…

I wonder if any comic news websites will report on this…
This is absolutely fucking outrageous. Frazer Brown is claiming he owns the rights to people’s work who submitted comic strips to his unpublished charity anthology Tales From The Quarantine. They were never paid nor signed, as far as I know, contracts. He only owns the comics & characters he created
