It seems it was search and rescue - eep.
It's never good to hear a helicopter landing in the village. It's either the site ambulance or the Coastguard, and neither are great news.

A significant number of the village street lights are out on main street. This includes the one outside our bedroom window. It ain't half dark!

Snow is now falling steadily about half a mile up the road from us. We have drizzly sleet - the downside of living very close to the sea.
Well, we're getting the snow ❄️. It's too soon to tell if we're going to get hammered by the amber alert quantities forecast, but I'm very glad we got shopping for the week on Monday.

If anyone remembers I mentioned it all kicking off on the village fb group, I now have the deets. Oh boy, some folks really do need to give their heads a wobble. I can totally see why it's a police matter.
