Sort of a strange old hermit. Slutty in theory, but not at all in practice.

I can make gluten free cupcakes that DON'T taste like ass. Bow before me, lesser cooks.

Governments vs. Cultures, I'd argue. I still think sharing a meal is easily the best way to get people from wildly different cultural perspectives to find common ground.

(I assume Bluesky people identify more with Bonobos than Chimpanzees, but still lol)

He'd have been so much better off if someone had iced him at the height of his career. He could have been remembered as a martyr for environmentalism. Not.... whatever the fuck THIS is.

And Chimps are our closest living biological relative. Think about that. The animal most closely related to humans, is also the most brutally amoral creature in existence outside of Homo Sapiens.

Not even really specific to hominins, hominids generally have this inborn tendency. Chimps are an animal that has the concept of war, but no concept of war crimes. Absolutely anything goes, no matter how depraved.

Kinda makes you wonder what John and Billy Bob might have become had they not gone out at the top.

And when it's a conflict about chores or whatever, it usually just ends up being me taking on ALL the jobs just so they stop yelling at each other and me.

My go to move is to try to approach it like a "therapist" but more often than not, it feels more like being a woefully unprepared hostage negotiator. In the end, they hate me because I didn't back them, and I hate myself for failing to fix the conflict.

That's what other people's big feeling feel like to me. Everyone's yelling and crying, I have NO idea what's going on, it's all scary and confusing to me, and they all want me to take "their side", but I have no idea where this fight even came from, and no matter what I do someone is going to be mad

I tend to think of it along similar lines as physical pain. If your hip feels like it's grinding glass with every movement, and people keep trying to force you to walk, lashing out is at some point more or less inevitable. It's not really anger, it's more sensory overwhelm than anything else.

9 year old definitely also has some autistic traits, but alexithymia is NOT one of them. She has ALL the feels. That is HARD for me to interact with. I can't even sense my own emotions. I usually realize I'm doing badly when it starts manifesting as physical symptoms.
