I just saw it brought up in a retrospective documentary about MTV, but it's pleasantly surprising to find out that Jackass was a rare bright spot in early 2000s media for being unashamed of the cast "acting gay" and even spotlighted a few queer entertainers in their movies.

If you don't want to get scammed by fake Jews on the internet that are probably just Israeli bot farms, might I suggest making friends with the Jewish people in your own local community? I promise, they are awesome people with incredible food. You will not regret this decision in ANY way.

So I just learned that Chanakya, advisor to the first Mauryan Emperor advised Chandragupta to have an entirely female Royal Guard. His reasoning was that a man would hesitate to commit violence against a woman, potentially allowing an assassin to succeed, while a woman would not.

Just gonna say it, American Christmas REALLY isn't Christian in any meaningful sense. It is first and foremost, an AMERICAN holiday with American specific themes, motifs and rituals. Anyone of any or no religion can celebrate it. Santa doesn't discriminate.

A LOT of people these days seem to think that morality is a binary. Everything has to be either "good" or "bad", but most human behaviors are morally neutral, and it's all heavily context specific. That's why people have been arguing about this for the whole 5000 years of recorded human history.

I don't have like, studies and whatnot on hand to prove this, but I've seen a lot of stuff suggesting that the most horrifying animal behavior seems to be clustered among the most intelligent animals. Dolphins, elephants, otters, chimps and most of all humans.

Republican logic does not resemble our human logic.
