I’m also watching the same thing over and over because I like that particular thing. Very honest about that. I’ve had lots of pecan buttertarts too, guarantee I will be going back for more, despite them not really changing.

Agree to disagree here. First 4 episodes really well done. I feel like the acting is pretty good. And the sentimentality is a big part of it, having seen these actors literally grow up over the course of the show.

Someone who reflexively opposes status quo is not by definition good. Seriously fielding questions about chemtrails is not to be applauded. Changing course on trans rights to please your base, at the expense of young people’s well being is not to be applauded. This is naive thinking.

Prior editions have just been bad. This team is unbelievably erratic. A truly good team doesn’t lose like this at home, I think.

100%. And the correct approach is to wear it as a badge of honour. A lot of scar tissue gets you to this place. A) You have earned the right to use this language, and B) it irritates your kids, so worth it by definition.
