We have to have the courage of conviction. Otherwise, we will silently observe our own demise, which would be very un-American, given the Country was birthed from a revolt against tyranny. We have to find that peaceful but passionate resolve and speak truth to power.
I am worried that even as we see the weaponization of government against Trump's political opponents, too few have stepped forward to object. I worry that as a result, we will see an escalation of political retribution that will be met with what MLK called "the appalling silence of the good people."

“You play ball with the authoritarian. You flatter him. You nudge him. You try to influence him. But you never criticize him. Criticism is a tool businesses can use when dealing with liberal governments. With illiberal regimes, direct criticism is a nonstarter.”

This speech should not have had to come from the Supreme Court’s most junior member.

It should have come from the full Court. It should have come from the whole federal judiciary. And it should have been amplified by the nation’s legal community.

He’s deporting folks with no criminal backgrounds for no reason.

What would have happened to this woman if this police officer did not walk with her? It's insane and should not be tolerated in NYC! These criminals need to be jailed. Violence against women must be dealt with swiftly and harshly by the NYPD and DA.
A Brooklyn woman said she feared for her life as she was chased, kicked, spit at and pelted with objects by a mob of Orthodox Jewish men who mistook her as a participant in a protest against Israel’s far-right security minister, AP reports.
