We have to have the courage of conviction. Otherwise, we will silently observe our own demise, which would be very un-American, given the Country was birthed from a revolt against tyranny. We have to find that peaceful but passionate resolve and speak truth to power.
I am worried that even as we see the weaponization of government against Trump's political opponents, too few have stepped forward to object. I worry that as a result, we will see an escalation of political retribution that will be met with what MLK called "the appalling silence of the good people."

What would have happened to this woman if this police officer did not walk with her? It's insane and should not be tolerated in NYC! These criminals need to be jailed. Violence against women must be dealt with swiftly and harshly by the NYPD and DA.
