Wasn’t sure about Murderbot from the trailers. My brain had SecUnit as more androgynous. And the Skarsgård narration wasn’t working for me, too goofy.
But it all absolutely works in the first ep. Genuine laugh out loud moments throughout. Skarsgård nails the awkwardness.
Really enjoyed it.

At the Getty Villa, some trees & vegetation on site have burned, but no structures are on fire, and staff and the collection remain safe.

If you asked me to rattle off 10 of the best SFF books I’ve read this century I’d name seven of these. And if you mentioned the other three I’d make finger guns and say, “Can’t go wrong with those neither.”
This place at this moment feels like the better days of twitter, maybe around 2010ish? At least for me. It was before scrolling became doomscrolling. Before the attention trolls took over the whole ecosystem.
I open my Bluesky feed and it is full of really cool people saying really smart things and being really passionate about really interesting stuff.
