I feel like the pandemic could explain some of it early on (15-20 is when you start learning how to actually live like an independent human) but like at a certain point you do need to figure that shit out. It's been 3 years since everything opened up again.

I hate crafting in like 90% of MMOs because every time I get into it I start thinking about how I could be doing something actually fun in the game if I just blow my gold and buy the stupid thing I want.

WoW has M+ for bite-sized endgame and now delves for solo players. GW2 basically lets you do whatever you want for the legendary grind. XIV has savage raiding and crafting, and everything before savage feels like a waste of time because progression is uber-vertical.

XIV struggles with this because you hit the "wall" of needing to do Savage to progress pretty early, and no other content really serves as an alternative path. Gear isn't interesting, so there's no real pieces to chase or work towards that are exciting either.

I think a lot of people who aren't MMO players (and seemingly Yoshi-P here) totally miss what MMO players actually want, which isn't necessarily to save time in a general sense but to be able to log in and make meaningful progress in multiple kinds of content that suit your tastes and schedule.

Genuinely it may have been that they didn't expect the vote to be forced so quickly and that they could get the Senate to amend it so cover Trump's ass beforehand. I hope that's the case. Imagine getting played by Chuck Schumer. I'd off myself.
