Amba Thieves Tea comes from a small, organic farm in Uva, Sri Lanka. The name "Thieves Tea" comes from the days when workers were prohibited by plantation owners from taking tea from the fields — when it was meant to be sold as a luxury item. So they would sneak out raw leaves and make it at home.

The leaves were plucked from ancient, wild-growing trees in 2015, then made into tea that same year. At a decade old, it's the oldest pu'er we've ever carried.
