I know that summer is officially, really, TRULY over now (here in the northern hemisphere, obviously) because I am COLD AF 🥶
We have entered into my less favored half of the year.
Ah well. You'd think I'd have gotten used to it after decades of living—but no! Still hate cold, short, dark days. 😑

What a thread.
A striking thing about articles I’ve read claiming to “study the effects” of generative AI on student writing skills and consumption of information is that (1) they nearly always find the effects are negative and (2) most “conclusions” are still written assuming that we must use AI, for some reason.
