BREAKING⚡️The High Court has just ruled that the government's draconian ban of Palestine Action was unlawful. This is a massive blow to the Home Office’s authoritarian approach. They need to stop criminalising people protesting a genocide and start ending the UK's complicity

A sudden 10 day closure of airspace in a major US city like El Paso should be THE STORY, with nothing else getting any air time until at minimum someone within the US government says what’s happening and why.

It barely even registers on CNN’s site. It’s literally the last item before the page ends.
The FAA is closing the airspace around El Paso International Airport in Texas for 10 days, grounding all flights to and from the airport, for “special security reasons."

The FAA's notice did not provide additional details.

Sky have announced that Disney+, HBO Max, Hayu and Netflix will be rolled into a single subscription. It comes to £24 a month.

The results of a specific experiment with a clearly defined control group and methodology are in, and it turns out that Brentford is a well run football club and Tottenham isn't.

is Starmer shit? yes. Would Streeting be equally shit? almost certainly. Are we allowed to do revolutions, sorry I mean systemic change? no.
actually I've swung back round to "this will go away", I think. It's not obvious it's in any of the plausible candidates for it to be now, as a) they might not win and b) they'd come under fire on 8th May. He's shit but I think we're stuck with him for now.

When I get cross because VAR exists, everyone tells me to shut up. When VAR makes an obviously correct correction to an on field error, everyone gets cross with it. Go figure.

We don't generally report the sun rising at the start of the day as Breaking News, and I'm not clear why Peter Mandelson resigning from something should be any different.

This is like when the helicopter playing Marine One in The Diplomat had a very clearly displayed British registration mark
I’ve just watched ‘I Swear’ which I really enjoyed, but at the very end he’s on the train Nottingham - Sheffield and it pans out and it’s a Scotrail train. What the fuck? I felt personally insulted.

I might need to whisper this but... it's not a very anthemic.

lads lads im hearing that troops and flags might be purely cynical symbolism exploited by people who don't care about anything except their own right wing politics
Where are the poppy patriots? Why are they completely silent on this grotesque insult to our armed forces and specifically the 2,000 UK service and civilian personnel who were injured and the 457 who died in Afghanistan?
imagine being the father or mother or son or daughter or sibling of one of those brave British troops who died in Afghanistan, and having to listen to this crass ignorance

I feel like America plotting to annex Greenland while masked state goons terrorise their own communities at will should encourage British press and politicians to reflect on what happens when you act like "far right" is an unfair slur rather than a necessary descriptor of a real political position.

hey everyone, I found the Heathrow Express passenger... ;)
Why do I love this daytime flight? Because I made it from the aircraft to hotel via e-gates and a Heathrow Express terminal transfer in 30 minutes flat.

And the connections board says I’m not the only crazy person doing this tonight.

Friends of ours had to install it at their home in rural Co.Durham and while it's great, they offset the cost with a self-imposed morality charge, where they give double the monthly fee to a charity they know Musk would hate.

Feedback from a family member who flew with Qatar recently is that it's *brilliant*. What would be even better is to somehow liberate it from the control of one of the world's least savoury individuals.
Lufthansa Group announced it'll install Elon Musk's Starlink Wi-Fi across its *entire* fleet.

Notably, this isn't just for Lufthansa or the big core LHG airlines. It's a deal for ~850 aircraft across the entire group, even Air Dolomiti.

Installs begin later this year, done by 2029.
