Remember your favorite creator possibly might be struggling with imposter syndrome and doubt and this timeline sucks.. so if you find yourself thinking “wow I really relate to this persons work” or that persons work gives you joy, you should probably tell them. It’s a hard time to be a creative.

If I had a nickle for every time I've been referred to a specialist, only for the specialist to insist it has nothing to do with them, then get sent for a second opinion by the referring doctor who tries to remain Professional while calling the specialist dumb, I'd have two nickles, which isn't-

Unsolicited artist advice of the day: if you're a freelancer with no back up devices or storage, remember to pick a few things up in the black Friday sales. Even a pen drive to back up your projects so if you have a catastrophic hard drive failure you wont lose everything..learn from my mistakes. 😅

PLS leave reviews and spread the word about graphic novels you enjoy 😭 it's so hard to even convince agents & editors to consider adult gns & bc of the idea they don't know how to market it
For graphic novels, especially adult genre fiction, it's incredibly helpful to review it online, talk about it, recommend it to a friend—adult fiction in the graphic novel space is difficult to place, and nothing convinces readers that they'll like a book more than the personal testimonial.
If you like an author's work, the best thing you can do is buy it. The second best thing you can do is ask your local library to buy it. Or, do both!

If you like an author's work, the best thing you can do is buy it. The second best thing you can do is ask your local library to buy it. Or, do both!

Finally got notice of my next specialist appointment and it’s so early in the morning I could cry lol not only am I not a morning person but my POTS gives me insomnia especially when I’m anxious about something the next day. So! I expect I will get no sleep ahead of this one!
