I just dropped my phone off at the repair shop to get the backpanel switched. I won't get it back until after work, and wow. I don't like not having a phone 😅 Also, it's kind of scary how dependent we've got on these damned devices. At least I have an MP3 player, so I don't have to be without music.

My task this week is to reread what I have so far of Part 1 of my WIP, make notes, ease myself back into the right headspace so I can move on. I did chapter 1 in my lunchbreak and immediately texted a friend with "damn, this is good, or at least the first scene is." I think I'm on the right path.

Yikes. Being vulnerable sucks. But if there is one thing that had become clear, it's that I need to learn how to stop repressing myself (mostly my inner personality), because I've been doing it for so long that even I don't know who I am anymore, and that's not fun.

Putting out personal posts are always equal measure cringe and fun, because there is always at least one person who goes "don't be an idiot". Obviously not with those words and delivered in a much nicer way, but like, makes you realise that you are shit at reading signs and have to be told things.

Well, the good news is, I don't have to buy a new phone. The bad news is that I need to pay for a new back panel *sigh* At least that's a significantly smaller cost which I'm not too mad about, but still a cost I did not expect this year. Oh well. Upwards and onwards or whatever.

I wasn't planning to talk about my WIP a lot in public until I felt somewhat confident about it happening - i.e. being able to finish. On the other hand, it seemed like a fine idea to actually mention it to a few people in Brighton that I was working on a novel. Now I have regrets, because PRESSURE.

I spent pretty much all my free time in October working on some gift packages I delivered at FantasyCon. I thought I wouldn't want to do any of it anytime soon, but apparently I can't sit idly, and I also got jealous of the super cute bookmark so I'm making one for myself 😅🤷🏻♀️
