To close out, a line from Daniel Pennac's "La Fée Carabine" may serve as a guide. Loosely translated:

> It's not about the answers they give. It's about the questions you have to ask.

A line that sticks with me in professional settings. Especially when performing assessments and due diligence.

This idea of digging deeper and asking questions is fresh on my mind thanks to the First Brands Group meltdown.

You bet. It's one thing to go in eyes wide open (understanding the risk and making the calculated decision to move forward anyway).

Quite another to go in with eyes closed (denying the problem exists).

I understand they're aiming in that direction, but not quite there:

Adding to this: even if you _do_ have a subscription, it helps to follow your favorite writers on social media. That's how you can find their work!

News sites (especially their mobile apps) don't always have the best UI or search.

Oh hey I saw you were free so I popped a meeting on your calendar.

It's just a few minutes! No big deal. That's why I placed it right in the middle of your "programming time / flow state" block.

Yep! We're on the same page. Which leads to the question of what kinds of services / tools / apps would have surfaced in those other locations.

For example: I can't imagine a rideshare company would have been born in a cab- and transit-dense city like London or NYC.
