My pet peeves: Receiving a text message that says "heads up; we just sent you an email" or vice versa. I get too many of both as it is, thank you very much.

I'm curious what Democrats plan on doing when Friday comes and the Epstein files fail to get released?

If you give multiple interviews to Vanity Fair and don’t know whether or not you are on or off the record - then you are not qualified to be a chief of staff.

Speaking as a chief of staff.

When you get interviewed multiple times over the course of a year and the interviews are recorded and you sit for formal photographs with a well known national magazine you definitely know it’s on the record.

Speaking ill of the dead is controversial, particularly when it was a violent death. It’s edgy; it’s sensitive; best avoided in most cases, etc.

Baselessly making another person’s murder *about yourself,* and then approving of it, is a different thing. That is delusional, narcissistic, sociopathic.

For better or worse, public figures are judged when they die — their character, contributions, beliefs. It's undeniable that millions have mourned Rob Reiner's tragic death, celebrating his talent and contributions. I suspect when a certain public figure kicks the bucket, sentiments wont be the same

Like any bully, Trump is fundamentally a coward. When he feels humiliated, he lashes out. Every authoritarian action he is taking must be understood against the backdrop of his declining popularity. He feigns strength, but he's operating from a place of weakness.

Two babies were born in New York within a year of each other, soon after WWII.

One, Rob Reiner, lived a life of humanity and achievement. He brought us delight and joy. His memory will be a blessing.

The other, Donald Trump, will be remembered as an embarrassment to our nation.

Trump is never able to be anything other than who he is — even amidst tragedies like Rob Reiner’s death. Cruelty is always the point.
