Father · Husband · Son · Governor of the Commonwealth of Kentucky · Committed to setting a positive tone and fighting for all our families.
The holidays remind us what's important: our loved ones, a safe place to call home, and the ability to care for our families. I am going to keep focusing on the everyday things that matter most to our people.

Thankful for another year and for the chance to celebrate with my favorite people (and Winnie).

Thankful for a new day and more time to enjoy with our loved ones. Remember, life is short — let’s do good things and be kind to each other.

U.S. Army Spc. Sarah Beckstrom should be enjoying Thanksgiving with her family; but yesterday’s senseless shooting has now claimed her life. Violence has no place in the United States of America. 1/2

Today can be a tough one for those who have lost someone or are struggling. I want those folks to know, we're here for you and we love you. Let's check in on our neighbors and make sure we spread love and kindness.

Couldn't be more thankful. Happy Thanksgiving, and God bless our commonwealth and country.

"As we watch the consequences of the Trump presidency play out in real time, Democrats face a critical inflection point," @govandybeshear.bsky.social writes.

"We must meet this moment with urgency and focus — and with the clear and tangible vision it requires."

Democrats should be the party of aspiration — and talk like normal human beings.

Democrats must step in where Republicans have proven they won't: addressing families’ daily needs so they can believe in the American Dream again. Affording groceries, becoming a homeowner or taking a vacation feels out of reach. It's time we fix that.

Investing in America creates good jobs, strong communities and a bright future. I'm thankful for companies like GE Appliances making that a priority.

My faith teaches me that food is life-giving and meant to be shared. From the miracle of fishes and loaves to the Last Supper, we are called to feed and care for each other – and I’m proud that we’ve made that a priority in Kentucky.
Gov. Andy Beshear announced that eligible Kentuckians should see SNAP benefits loaded on their cards as soon as today. Thanks to the quick work of Team Kentucky, the commonwealth was one of the first states to process full benefits.

Our President should be fighting hunger – not causing it – and his decisions around SNAP put too many American families at risk. In Kentucky, I’m making sure we’re doing everything possible to process SNAP benefits as quickly as possible so these families can put food on their tables.
Great news, Kentucky – we’ve finally received the go-ahead to fully fund SNAP benefits for Kentuckians who rely on this assistance. Once again, our team will work through the night tonight, with the hope our families can see those benefits hit cards tomorrow. 1/2

America is the home of the free because of the brave, and we must always remember, recognize and honor our selfless veterans. God bless these heroes and all those who serve our great country to protect our freedoms as Americans.

Despite the President’s attempts to do what no other President in history has ever done – withhold SNAP funding – the courts have ruled that blocking these funds was illegal and they must be fully funded.
November 7, 2025 at 11:15 PM
No President in our history has withheld SNAP benefits during a federal shutdown until now. People going hungry in this instance is a choice President Trump has made.

And let me be very clear: It's the wrong choice.

The families of those lost from the devastating plane crash in Louisville are hurting. While the images may fade, the trauma will last for years. This is a loving community where we take care of each other. Right now, we're hurting - and Kentucky can use your prayers.
It's impossible to describe the devastation from yesterday's deadly plane crash. My heart is broken. My prayers are with all those affected, and I promise we will be there in the hours, days and weeks ahead. We will get through this together. We love you, Louisville.

As the incoming chair of @demgovs.org, I worked hard on tonight’s races in Virginia and New Jersey and I’m proud of what we accomplished. Sadly, my focus tonight is on my state of Kentucky where we’ve suffered a catastrophic plane crash that has taken the lives of at least 7. 1/2

Hunger impacts red states and blue, Mr. President. We're elected to serve every American, and politics should never get in the way of that.

This morning, I'm thinking of our food banks and all the amazing people across our country who are stepping up to help their neighbors during these challenging times. To everyone lending a hand and making a difference: Thank you.

Trump's tariffs are hurting the industries he claims he's trying to help. Their harmful impacts are already being felt here in Kentucky and across the nation. You don't have to just believe me, Republican Sens. Mitch McConnell and Rand Paul agree.

A President threatening to jail a sitting Governor is unacceptable and is the opposite of what this country stands for and was founded on. I stand with Gov. Pritzker and for the rights of each state across our great nation.

Leaders should always keep their promises to the American people.
The President hasn't.

We're already seeing the impact of Trump's tariffs and the "big, ugly bill" in Kentucky. From a birthing center not opening to a company laying off hundreds of workers, the pain is real and Kentuckians deserve better.
