I knit, garden, read, roll my eyes at politicians, yell at ableists, avoid cold weather, back up people making the world better, etc. Trans rights are human rights. Ban cauliflower.
That night was the beginning of the end of contact with my family. I was PROFOUNDLY damaged by their abuse and neglect, and I am far more disabled now, both physically and psychologically, than I would have been if I had the support I was ELIGIBLE for, that professionals had assessed me as needing.

Also, wealthy people can access medical care and get diagnoses. Even in Australia, where we have `universal health care' waiting lists for specialists are YEARS long and dependent on location. If you can't travel to cities easily, you are shit out of luck.

I’ve forgotten this sometimes but being able to discover something you like, curate it, and make time to enjoy it *is* intelligence, connecting with art is intelligence, empathy is intelligence, the way of the dullard is to find nothing meaningful in art except for a way to seem snidely clever

Also, many people are night owls and are frequently awake at 2.30 am, esp. disabled people who are often awake with symptoms of our disabilities. Total wierdo.
