AK25123715 Location: Wasilla Type: Structure Fire Dispatch Text: On Dec. 13, 2025, Alaska State Troopers received a report around 6:50 p.m. of a residential fire on West Discovery Loop in Wasilla. Troopers responded along with local fire and EMS. The structure was fully engulfed with flames upon arrival. Ryan McDonough, 46, lived at the residence and is unaccounted for. Other residents of the home are safe. The State Fire Marshal’s Office responded to the scene to investigate the origin and cause of the fire. The investigation is ongoing. Then, shortly after 10 a.m., the department received a call about a suspicious incident in the 1600 block of Maple Lane, where people in masks were on their property stating they had a warrant. Elgin officers arrived and determined that federal law enforcement agents were on scene and cleared the area.

how much of the difference in reporting is attributed to the fact that there were a lot of urgent concerns immediately after anchorage 2018 (checking the gas shutoff, dealing the fallen objects, etc) vs familiarity with the reporting system vs today is a holiday / most people are home?
