One of the things my Southfield kids knew me for was my refusal to wish them good luck. Instead, I asked if they were prepared. Now, my LSMSA kids are learning that, too.

So I think a reason why Metroid usually ends up a mess writing-wise is because nobody really knows who Samus IS -- myself included.
I recently re-posted and added to an article I wrote for USG. There are many versions of Samus, and this interpretation is my fav.

@dunkindonutscoffee.bsky.social finally won. They made it so difficult to get a refund for an online order to a closed store that I stopped asking.
Granted, they haven’t seen any more of my money. I hope the tradeoff was worth it.
