Damn, one thing I can say about growing up during the era of over-inflated fears about MK and Night Trap is at least the kids didn’t side with the game cops.
i am going completely insane watching gamers make up shit about horses and interrogating every single thing the devs have said for inconsistencies and then deciding well it probably had cp in it. this is the easy mode version of the kinds of censorship that are to come and you're failing like babies

PlayStation released an advent calendar where you can earn tickets via daily quests like watching an AD, you can use the tickets to enter a lottery to win games, controllers, etc. They also have free stuff like avatars which seem to be Ai generated.

In case you missed it, I wrote a tl;dr for my series examining Suikoden 1's English localizations. The final word: the HD Remaster's translation is a definite improvement, but suffers from the same issues as the 1996 translation—namely, a lack of context and not enough editing passes/LQA.
My Suikoden Localization Let's Play has finally come to a complete end! This overview covers the main points of the series, like "don't take words or punctuation at face value" and "consider the larger context," then dives into reviews of both the PS1 and HD Remaster English translations.

Random sad thought for a grey day: We correctly talk about how “gifted” programs aren’t beneficial — but we don’t talk about what it does to the kids who don’t get, uh, promoted.
