Finishing painting a Flakpanzer IV ‘Ostwind’ for my #boltaction German motor pool - tried adding “improvised camo/added in the field” style foliage to the turret to add some character.
Could probably use some more highlights - but it’s good enough for the table

Played in the SNAFU #BoltAction event this weekend! 2 major losses, 2 draws that couldn’t have been closer.

Couple of different dice rolls and the draws could have been wins for sure. Good times and great tables!

So - I painted up minis for all the monster encounters and was pretty happy how they turned out! The Frost Giant Skeleton is a great add to the mini cabinet

Painted miniatures of monstrous creatures from Dungeons & Dragons. There is: a blue skinned, black robed witch with a black wooden staff. A larger water creature painted in shades of blue with two tentacles on its face. And finally, a much larger “giant” sized skeleton wearing a Viking horned helmet, tattered clothes, and dragging a large axe behind it. There’s also a smaller black painted cauldron as well.

Got to step inside an actual B-25 flown in #WW2 today. It was in a hanger with other 80 year old planes all being maintained and kept flying by a dozen Commemorative Air Force volunteers. Seriously cool to have folks doing that sort of thing in the local community #history

Spent 16 hours over the weekend running #D&D for great folks in a truly awesome space at Escape Room Wisconsin - the decor, the old school artwork on the walls, the mindflayer trophy. Such a cool place to game!

Big eel news! Recently uncovered frescoes at Pompeii contain eels. Because of course they do. Eels are everywhere in European history. You just have to look.

This is a pair of lovely morays. To paraphrase Garth Brooks, sometimes folks wonder what happens if two morays never come. But here they are.

This is probably because of the man next. You can't see all of him because of damage to the fresco, but what you can see looks sleazy. He has receding hairline, wispy white hair, and no shirt. He looks like he's only wearing a towel, and he's looking up at Gloriatica in a way that will look familiar to anyone who's spent time in bars. We'll call him Slorigen, and avoid him. The two eels -- probably named Estebox and Vestebox -- are facing different directions. The one on the right -- Esterbox -- is curling up over some sort of skate. They are pointedly ignoring the drama that's playing out below them. Can't people just behave themselves in public frescoes?

realized it’d been about 20 years since I painted an actual #SpaceMarine and that I’d never painted an #Ultramarine
