Miracles are just like craft herpes, glitter They're fucking everywhere if you look, honestly Sometimes people send you packages With bags of them stuck to the tape So when you open the box they explode All over you, your lap, the room, the table And you will never stop finding them As long as you remember to keep looking They get in your hair, on your skin It takes days, weeks, years to come off But you'll find some under the couch later Then you'll have miracles on you again It gets in your food and you'll carry it inside you It gets in your eyes and makes you want to cry It gets in your heart, your lungs, your brain Flows through your blood, gets in your bones Gets stuck in your kidneys, your liver And nothing ever quite undoes the impact Of having a miracle come into your life You will always, always, carry that impact Finding it in strange corners of your life In unexpected moments or specific searching Until you start to see them elsewhere too In small interactions with a stranger at a store While watching your garden grow and change Laughing with friends and family over dinner Listening to music or watching an old movie Or even just sitting down to fold your laundry You see the miracle of everything you are now Glinting at you like shining motes of glitter In every single breath you are still taking With every beat of your still beating heart In every morning you wake and are still waking Beating in every single nanosecond of every day There is a reminder of that miracle around you Miracles are just like craft herpes to me now I hope you will start looking for them too For there is a miracle in every single moment In every single person's life, no matter what Every day we live, every moment of breathing Every touch of a friend or a stranger or a loved one Miracles are not always large and loud The most important ones are the smallest things May all find healing and may all learn peace And may you find those miracles in your life The ones you are sitting, standing right next to May you wonder at their existence in your life Before you need a larger miracle to make you see Every moment is a miracle because you are a miracle Enjoy the craft herpes of joy all around you Do not take your miracles for granted, friend For the smallest of miracles can save your life That, my friend, is why we call them miracles The craft herpes of life, around us all the time Waiting to step in, step up, and keep us alive Like dazzling stars in life's unending night The miracles all around us wield glittering light I'm so glad I can see, taste, smell, feel, hear this fight When you look for it, my friends? It's a beautiful sight

Not Actually The Devil Went Down To Georgia I Swear by Orpheus Wren The devil came to see me He knocked upon my door He smiled when I answered Said "I'd like to buy your soul It's got a different flavor, see So I'd like to buy it off of you for–" I stopped him there, "Nah, it's free You can't buy all of it anymore" The devil frowned at what I'd done He said "I don't think I understand" I shrugged and smiled, nodded then "I'm not really certain that you can" The devil shook his head, confused "But humans are always made of greed! You need money just to survive! Look, I'll give more than you need!" I just shrugged and smiled, wry "Eh, nah, I don't need more than this I put my soul up on my Ko-fi, see And right now? Life is kinda bliss Sometimes people buy a piece or two 'Pay what you want' for my soul's kiss If you want one too, take it for free!
