Don't forget the Whitehaven coal mine near Narrabri. They demolished the last remnant white box woodland coz they got an offset. How the f*ck can you offset the last of something? This is the bullshit thinking used to give business carte blanche on the environment.

So some areas can be left in private sector but govt needs to properly support learning and research in areas that do not presently attract commercial money
