Mike Kelly noted that SportLogiq has the Wings at 3rd in expected goals for this season.
That’d be a huge discrepancy between the public models where the Wings are around 20th.

Another disappointing loss as Detroit's offense is still MIA. Outshot CHI 45-20 & Soderblom was great, sure, but too much volume from the perimeter & not enough in the hard areas or true quality chances.
Special teams were abysmal, too. Need to reset.

One thing I forgot to mention is in 23-24 the NHL started including "short" shots, broken sticks and "flubbed" shots and in 24-25 they started including "failed bank attempts" as types of missed shots in addition to wide, over the net, and off the post. I'm not sure how those were handled before
