sometimes you accidentally show up two hours early to a family reunion, but the local bookstore is open, so you buy a cozy mystery, and the local coffee shop is very cute and has homemade pop tarts and leather couches, and it’s a fine morning

i saw my first borealis tonight. stunning. we drove out to a field with less light pollution and i could hear all the coyotes behind us, it was so deeply magical

I’m doing rewatches of movies from ‘90s to ‘00s and I really miss some of the film design.
Voices are audible.
Scenes feel fluid. Location anchor shots.
Night scenes are VISIBLE.
Practical effects are so nice to see.
Plots interesting but linear (can’t feel the last minute edits)

spent the afternoon listening to mbira music from Zimbabwe because i am so in love with TL Huchu’s Edinburgh Nights series which blends Scottish and Zimbabwean magic and myth.

We make this enchilada chicken, mostly for tacos, but it’s good for salads. Take 4 chicken breasts and season with your favorite chicken or poultry seasoning. We use Chef Merito Pollo seasoning. Add 1 jar of Heredez verde salsa and 1 block of low fat cream cheese. Cook on low for 6 hours.
