For anyone pushing the Texas narrative blaming the NWS (and then mentioning staffing cuts) - please be aware that the warning was pushed out a little after 1am. There was no lack of information from NWS
The time to act is when a Flash Flood Watch is issued. This means paying closer attn to weather. A warning is issued when flash floods are "Imminent or occurring," that's the criteria in this situation. That may of course mean for some it's too late because its occurring, but in TX there were hours.

if you find yourself reluctant to support the guy at Columbia because you find some of the politics he espoused distasteful or even abhorrent, you should know that this is exactly the reaction that they hoped for in choosing him as a target for unlawful detention based on political speech.
