Donald Trump is withholding billions of dollars in New York infrastructure unless he gets Penn Station and Dulles Airport named after him.

This is not only brazenly corrupt. It is sick, twisted and egomaniacal. The time is long overdue for sane Republicans to stand up to Trump.

The rot runs right through this Labour government.

Starmer made Mandelson ambassador to the US despite knowing of his relationship with convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein. He must go.

Streeting must cancel the NHS contract with Palantir which has Mandelson's hands all over it.

👀 Someone has finally mentioned the Palantir contracts
Alex Burghart MP has now called for a review of the circumstances around the award of Palantir's £240m defence contract, and asked why Mandelson's visit to Palantir's offices in Washington was kept off the books while the company was being represented by his firm, Global Council.

Good to see the Govt publishing a new road safety strategy, but there's no Highway Code promotion even though the majority of people still aren't aware of new rules from 2022, e.g. minimum distances for passing cyclists and rules on right of way at junctions.

Most people still don't know the new Highway Code rules - let's change that
The government has just published a new Road Safety Strategy, which is great to see. But they haven't mentioned promoting the Highway Code, even though most people still aren't clear on the new rules ...

"It is very worrying that banks feel able to use their influence to try and dictate elected government policy."

Peter Mandelson was not an outlier - Government ministers continue to put the interests of banks above ours.

Police in Birmingham held a roads policing operation, supported by volunteer Special Constables.

In one evening on one road, they pulled over 166 vehicles and took action in a staggering 1 in 3 stops.

Imagine if Roads Policing was properly funded!

Can’t help thinking that it’s a real shame that the AV referendum didn’t go the other way.

If it had, Labour and the Greens might be fighting this by-election on policy and vision, rather than “who can beat Reform”.

UK child poverty up 34% in a decade.

Families can't afford the cost of food, rent, childcare, heating, essentials.

72% of poor children live in working families.

Secure jobs, universal basic income/services, curbs on profiteering, free school meals would help.

Must eradicate parental poverty.
Why are four million children still going hungry in the UK in 2026?
Hunger in the UK is the scourge that ceases to abate. It's time to build a road map to meaningful and lasting change.

When is a fine on a company not a fine?

When it is levied on England's water companies with nearly 1,200 criminal convictions.

Headline grabbing fines are announced but not collected for years, not even paid.

No pressure on water companies to obey laws.

Water companies indulged by govt. Why?
Public ownership of water is the only way to deliver security, efficiency, investment and value for money
37 years of privatisation has been a disaster

• Your friendly reminder that Lord Mandelson is still a member of the Parliamentary Labour Party and retains the Labour Whip.

• Worth reflecting on all the MPs who lost the Labour Whip are were suspended from the Parliamentary Labour Party for voting against the 2 Child Cap.
