Democrats spanning from Jim McGovern to Seth Moulton have publicly called for abolishing ICE and there are clearly Dem votes for a shutdown so naturally "why aren't Dems saying anything?" remains the easiest way for low-effort clout chasers that don't pay attention to anything to rack up RTs

FYI: Dems in the senate can't defund ICE. ICE is funded by the Big Ugly Bill. Shutting down DHS on this vote wouldn't touch ICE, but it would shut down FEMA, TSA, Coast Guard, etc. Shutting down ICE requires taking back Congress in the midterms. Dismantling DHS requires the White House in 2028.

I watch futbol and I would enjoy watching the World Cup but I think a World Cup boycott is one of the more effective actions Europe can take, and less economically harmful to themselves compared to restricting trade or tourism.

Trump and current US systems really suck right now, in that we have to be talking about an incredibly evil possible invasion of Greenland right now instead of a tragic bears loss or Dunk and Egg.
Social media really sucks in that this leads to interliberal infighting instead of solidarity.

Uh, so… guys, this needs to be configurable. This was *the* way to work around not being able to turn off reposts per person in Following at the moment… (without resorting to building a custom feed)
Wait nooo, that's not useful! Can I turn it off? I literally only use lists because I put people whose reposts I don't want to see there, otherwise I'd just follow them…. :|
