I’ve been asking about the young guys in Clippers roster most of the month, particularly with their lack of opportunity given the new vets and the short preseason schedule.

Flowers departure = every 2-way that LAC has had in last year has been waived. Wonder if Preston has shot.

You can't get guaranteed money on an Exhibit 10 deal. It's one or the other.

As they did with other players this offseason, the Nets gave both Roberts and Scott small partial guarantees. This helps Brooklyn reach the salary floor.

Roberts - $25K guaranteed
Scott - $45K guaranteed

That amount will go on the Nets cap sheet as dead money for this season.

There are over 100 waivers to still come in the NBA. Most will happen by this Saturday, so teams don't incur a per-day cap hit. There will be more sign-and-waive transactions also.

It's all about getting guys lined up for the G League. Players often benefit from these deals too, because they can earn up to $85,300 if they spend 60 days with the G League affiliate.

Drew Timme was on a non-guaranteed standard deal with BKN.

Dariq Whitehead was fully guaranteed at ~$3.3M in Year 3 of his rookie scale deal.

Nets take on $3.3M in dead money for Whitehead this season. Year 4 RS team option goes away.

BKN is now $77K over the salary floor.

The Keegan Murray news sucks. I love him and think he was in for a pretty good year. Kings don't have a lot at the four either. I'm guessing they'll go small to open games now. Lean even more heavily into the offense.

Not an easy matchup with all of Dallas' size, but Ryan Kalkbrenner has held up well tonight. A lot of minutes against the rotation Mavs bigs.

Charlotte should give a lot of the minutes at the five to Moussa Diabate (I'd start him) and Kalkbrenner.

A minute in and two excellent reads by Cooper Flagg. Found Klay Thompson for a transition three on cross-court setup. Then found Anthony Davis for the alley-oop finish out of pick-and-roll. Good stuff early from the rookie!

He won't have the same defensive impact, but Luka Garza can do all the same things Luke Kornet did on offense and more. He's going to be a nice player for Boston this year.

Celtics did some good work with their vet minimum pickups in Garza, Chris Boucher and Josh Minott.
