Women who get an abortion and anyone who helps them could face up to 30 years in prison under the bill.

It appears to ban any contraception that prevents a fertilized egg from implanting. That would ban IUDs and could strictly limit in-vitro fertilization.

But assuming regulators have an appetite for a case like this (do they, @gokp.bsky.social @dodrummond.bsky.social @badlawyerpod.bsky.social?), I imagine proof would be difficult.
A favored technique for Trump is the use of fraudulent or collusive litigation to funnel large sums of money into the pockets of his cronies. This case involving twice indicted felon Michael Flynn is a prime example of how this works.

On the one hand, the ACA *already* has absurdly strict Hyde protections, so that's clearly a poison pill stunt.

On the other hand, the fact that he's even talking about negotiating over an income cap suggests a tiny possibility that he's serious. 1/
Mike Johnson: "If there was gonna be an extension, you'd be massive reforms. You'd need income caps. You should not be subsidizing healthcare for wealthy people. You'd also need Hyde protections on those things and other innovations."
