National Air Disaster Foundation (NADF) was founded by air crash survivors and victims’ family members to raise the standards of aviation safety, security and survivability, and to support victims’ families.
This is interesting - very reminiscent of TWA 800 - we have several memorials, three that I’ve seen. Only one was by the families. No mention of the family consultation here. beyer.house.gov/news/documen...

Update on weekend snow potential: The most reliable model data continues to keep the storm too far south and east for snow in the D.C. area. However, it’s still close enough that we are not yet a lock for no snow, and snow odds remain a little higher for the Eastern Shore.

🚨 Major update: more ice, higher outage risk
• More sleet, less pure snow, some spots could get 1–3" of sleet on top of snow (very heavy)
• Freezing rain risk up S of Beltway; outage risk growing, esp. S MD
• Clear early, often: this will harden quickly

Updated interim final rule for helicopter ops around DCA just dropped. Would only allow "essential operations" and would restrict 4/22 and 15/33 if vertical ops are in play.

Nightly numbers are in. Strong snow signal remains. ❄️

Most models show 7-12 inches around Beltway. Euro AI system avg leading pack at 16 inches. GFS suite the snow-lover special.

But warm air aloft could bring problematic ice, especially SE of DC.

❄️ Still snowy
