In nature shows they always have a Great White Shark Leaping out of the water in an epic slow motion shot to emphasize its ferocity and power! Coincidently they never show it when it misses completely and floats awkwardly like a fishing bobber wondering where it went wrong!

I haven't thought deeply about this, but ... if heritability is the proportion of the variance attributable to genetics, and I remove some variance attributable to "the environment", then should I be surprised that the heritability goes up? @sashagusevposts.bsky.social help!?
