AKA, a stolitz corpse bride au Written for the Helluva Halloween Exchange 2025 As the ring slid into place along the branch, the dirt under Blitzø’s feet rumbled and groaned. He stumbled back as wind whipped around him, the branch seemingly extending out toward him before being obscured by a whirlwind of forest debris. Blitzø threw a hand over his face, shutting his eyes against the dirt and leaves swirling around his face. As the air around him seemed to calm, he slowly opened his eyes — “I do,” came a soft voice from the face suddenly inches from Blitzø’s own. Blitzø yelped, feet scraping over dirt as he scrambled backwards, away from the tall avian demon that had been crowding over him. He looked around at the otherwise empty and quiet forest, mostly clear apart from the aged trunks and gnarled roots — where had this demon even come from? Could he have snuck up on him so easily? dreamland, take me there by pipsqueakparker summary: Blitz often struggles with getting a decent night's rest, and Stolas just wants to be a good, caring partner and make sure all of Blitz's needs are met. AKA, baby's first somno fic Stolas was trying to take as much off his plate as he could, but Blitzø was stubborn. Stolas had to get sneaky about it — he couldn’t say he was going to make dinner so Blitzø could take a nap after work, he had to excitedly show Blitzø a new recipe he had found and basically beg for the imp to let him try making it, then put on My Little Hellpony as ‘background noise’, knowing Blitzø would fall asleep on the couch watching it. And those naps were essential, because he knew Blitzø still wasn’t sleeping well at night. That was something else he had to start being sneaky about — he knew Blitzø was neglecting his sleep meds again, Blitzø didn’t like how hard they put him out in case Stolas needed him in the middle of the night. That had been an issue once or twice, when things were still new and Stolas was still trying to get settled on his own medication, with his own routine, in this new normal. But it had been months now, and Stolas felt okay. Even if he still had nightmares, he didn’t need Blitzø to be up with him for hours anymore. Blitzø had been doing so much for him for so long, he just wanted to return the favor as much as he could.
