Quilting, gardening, gluten free and allergy friendly baking for the family. Taking the pieces of life and making art 💕
My kid designed a quilt for her occupational therapist 😍
(I did the actual making of the quilt, with lots of micromanaging and directions from her 😆)

“I swore never to be silent whenever and wherever human beings endure suffering and humiliation. We must take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented.”

Bovino was not just following orders but he’s no rogue - like everyone in this murderous lawless admin he must be held totally responsible for his words and deeds & that should not get any higher ups off the hook but have the opposite effect. He served as he was let go: at the president’s pleasure.
BREAKING Greg Bovino has been removed as Border Patrol "commander at large" and will return to El Centro Calif, where he is expected to retire soon. A stunning turnaround after Pretti killing. Bovino's traveling blue city crackdown is over www.theatlantic.com/politics/202...

(No I didn’t draw this sketch quite that fast! A friend of mine had requested a drawing quite recently as they were praying for the people most affected by ICE. I thought the quote shared was very powerful and thought I’d share my sketch to go with it.)

Stop what you’re doing and read this whistleblower report. ICE has been training its agents that they don’t need a judicial warrant to break down your door - a blatant violation of the 4th Amendment. www.documentcloud.org/documents/26...

Some people have words, a call to action, an exclamation of injustice, a plea for goodness. The right words woven together can point to the next right step, the calm place to refuel, the fight that actually has strength and hope behind it.
My mind works in art. I don’t have the words.

Rectangle/triangle quilt math is way harder than square/triangle math 😆 But, I finished two quilt tops today- square one for my kid’s therapist’s expected baby, rectangle for her much loved stepdaughter so she doesn’t feel left out of all the new baby love! Hopefully will get them quilted quickly!

We now learn that Fifa had a very specific "ask" in exchange for its "Peace Award" to Trump, with loads of gold trinkets, and that was dismissal of a criminal corruption case against senior Fifa officials. And Trump granted it. Another corrupt bargain, barely noticed (and ignored by US media).

I had so much fun making seed collection tins for a friend! (I know the possum on the tin is wonky. I can’t quite figure out how to draw small images for the Cricut. It’s happy to make the image larger, but tiny it misses details. Any advice??)

Every year since 1988, the United States has recognized World AIDS Day — until now.

Why not? Maybe because the Trump administration doesn’t want to acknowledge that its foreign aid cuts led to nearly 150,000 deaths from AIDS, according to Boston University researchers.

Shameful.
